The Jersey City mother accused of leaving her three kids home alone has turned herself into police. Dashnay Beckwith is charged with neglect and child endangerment.

The Jersey City mother accused of leaving her three kids home alone has turned herself into police. Dashnay Beckwith is charged with neglect and child endangerment. Her two, three and six-year-old sons were all found Tuesday on their apartment balcony naked and without food. Beckwith claims she left the children alone to go on a job interview. Deputy Police Chief Peter Nalbach said the 6-year-old actually tried covering for his mother:

"The little boy said his mother was asleep upstairs. We entered the house, trying to find an adult or the mother. There were no adults, just three children alone," Nalbach said.

Investigators said a school aide at PS-32 realized the oldest child hadn't been in class since Thursday, and had been absent for 50 days already this year. The aide went with police to the home and that's when the realized the situation was worse than they thought.

Whenever I read a story involving child abuse or neglect, it pisses me off to a higher level of pisstivity than pretty much any other crime on the books because children not only didn't ask to be brought into this world, but they also have no control over what type of idiots they get as parents and there's really nothing a child can do to deserve the type of mess their parents pull. How does someone get the bright idea that is is just OK to leave three small children in a house alone?? Toddlers!! These kids cant even wipe their own behinds and you leave them home alone?! The story doesnt say how long they were left alone but it does say they were "found on the BALCONY, naked and with no food" when the police came looking for them, so it had to be a number of hours, if not longer (GOD forbid). And clearly this was a regular occurence because the kid knew what to say to cover for this poor excuse for a mother.

 

And she claims she was going to a job interview?? GTFOHWTBS!! You very well may have gone to see a man about performing some services for some type of payment, but I'd put money on it that you wont be getting a paystub or a W2 for it at the end of the tax year. All while your three small children were unfed, unclothed and a misstep away from falling off the balcony and being seriously injured or killed.
